The Northland Youth Football Camp will also feature special guest host, Jim Tuso. Prior to assisting Chuck Siler with the Northland Football Camp, Jim Tuso put on one of the largest youth football camps in the Kansas City Area and this year will be 2nd straight year of him assisting Chuck Siler as one of the camp's guest hosts.

For the past 9 years, Jim Tuso has been the Head Coach for the 7th & 8th Grade Missouri Wolverines Football Club and the Director of Football Operations for the entire Missouri Wolverines Football Club since 2002. In 2002, Tuso formed the Missouri Wolverines Youth Organization Inc. which is the 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation which sponsors the Missouri Wolverines Football and Cheerleading Club and the Jim Tuso Youth Football Camp. In July of that same year, Tuso put on the first
Jim Tuso Youth Football Camp with the majority of the money for the camp coming out of his own pocket. During that first year of the camp, close to 100 campers attended the camp. Over the previous 2 years, the camp averaged 150 campers each year and in 2005 the camp eclipsed 200 campers. In 2006 the camp grew to over 300 campers making it one of the most successful youth football camps in the area.

In 2000, Tuso's high school coach Tony Severino was named USA Today's National Coach of the Year. Why is this important? Tuso and his staff attend the Rockhurst Football Camps each year to learn from Coach Severino and his staff. While at Iowa State, Tuso played for
Offensive Line Coach/Offensive Coordinator Steve Loney who is now with the Minnesota Vikings where the Vikings led the NFL in rushing in 2003. Loney is given credit in many publications as one of the most knowledgeable teachers of the zone blocking scheme and aside from his accomplishments in the NFL he also was the Offensive Coordinator at ISU when Troy Davis was the only
running back in NCAA history to rush for 2,000 yards two consecutive years in row.

Jim Tuso was a product of the North Suburban Youth Football League growing up. While playing in the NSYFL he won consecutive "Super Bowl" titles his 7th and 8th Grade years. Tuso went on to attend Rockhurst High School where he lettered eight times in football, basketball, and baseball. He was a two-year starter at center in basketball and a three-year starting pitcher for the Hawklets baseball squad.
However, football would end up being his sport. Tuso was one of the few sophomores to start on the offensive line at Rockhurst in the 90s. He would go on to start all three years and be named a team captain his senior year. Along the way, Tuso earned 1st team All-Metro honors and All-district and All-State honors. In 2003, Jim Tuso was named to the Rockhurst High School All-Time Football Team putting him
among a select few of the many great athletes to play football at Rockhurst High School.
Tuso would continue his career in football as he accepted an athletic scholarship to attend Iowa State University in Ames, IA. While at ISU, Tuso played with such greats as Troy Davis and current NFL Defensive Lineman James Reed (KC Chiefs) and Reggie Hayward. Tuso played every position on the offensive line except center for the Cyclones and would finish his career as a right guard.
Put all these together and you have over ten years of personal playing experience from top coaches on all levels of the game. And more importantly Tuso himself has been a coach on the youth level for over 7 years now. Tuso has reformed the ideas and philosophies he learned as a player and has introduced them on the youth level.
